A professionally designed and manufactured frame fixture for accurately locating and holding a 1911 pistol frame for milling and doing other operations. Typical uses would include milling feed ramps, rails, fitting ramped barrels, and magwell work. Fixtures are invaluable to securely hold and locate parts such as the 1911 frame for professional results, this is a great tool for 1911 professional ‘smiths and hobbyist alike.
Multi-positionable dowel pins locate frame using pin holes in the frame. Includes an adjustable stop to secure frames in the fixture as well as help to dial perfect alignment in. An accurate engraved degree scale helps with angle setup. Also useful for removing and replacing frame from the fixture to re-locate it back into the same position. Will work with all single stack frames as well as ones with flared magwells.
The 1911 frame fixture has mounting holes and T-slots for versatility in mounting the fixture in your machine. Mounting it to an angle plate which is mounted on the milling table is the best way, but the fixture can be held in milling vise too.
The 1911 frame fixture is CNC machined from 6061T-6 aluminum plate and clear anodized. Dimensions are 9.375” wide x 7.23” high x 1.95” thick.
Includes (2) clamps with hardware. Optional T-nuts and studs are available for attaching to an angle plate using the built in T-slots on the fixture back.
